In His Light —Self-portrait
One of my earliest fears is running in the darkness across three acres from my grandparents’ house to ours. Even with my grandmother watching and cheering, “Run for your life, Hijo!” I was still afraid. In broad daylight, that same path posed no threat at all. Today, I’m still amazed at the freedom that comes by walking in the light.

Often I remember another path taken in childhood. It was a path of spiritual light that unfolded when I accepted Jesus as my personal Savior. The Light of the world, illuminated my heart with hope and changed my life forever. His story of being born of a virgin, living a sinless life, dying on the cross, and conquering death and the grave was the greatest story I had ever heard. In living and laying down His life, He took my place and then offered me the gift of eternal life. (John 3:16) By accepting His free gift of Salvation, I was placed back in fellowship with my Creator. Today, I walk in freedom, for I walk In His Light.

Through the years, I’ve learned more about Jesus Christ from His Word, the Holy Bible. It has indeed become “a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path” (Ps. 119:105). Every time I read it, I find something powerful and fulfilling; even the familiar stories are still relevant. Jesus is everything, so let all that is within me proclaim the life-changing truth of His Word.

Communication doesn’t always come easy, nor does it come in one form. My passions for Art ‘n Song have developed into this ministry and I’m very grateful for the people who have helped me. Best of all, God has led, and the journey is incredible.

Romans 11:36 says that all things are “of Him, through Him, and to Him.” It is not just coincidence that I was born into the De Luna family. De Luna is Spanish for “of the moon.” During college, I thought it fitting to use the moon as a graphic element for my art exhibit. Since then, the nightlight function of the moon has developed into the theme of my life, Reflections of the Son. May I be ever faithful to the true Source of Light, Jesus Christ.

In His Light one finds freedom from past failures, freedom in present circumstances, and freedom to a fulfilled life. To walk in darkness is to walk in fear. To walk in the Light is to walk in freedom.

“If the Son therefore shall make you free, ye shall be free indeed.” John 8:36
